Mechan Group is new Topcon Precision Ag distributor
Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA) announces the Mechan Group, a leading
distributor of AGCO products serving the Benelux area (Belgium,
Netherlands and Luxembourg), will become a distribution outlet for
Topcon Precision Agriculture.
TPA specializes in the development
of high-tech systems for precision agriculture, and has a strategic
alliance with AGCO. Topcon GNSS RTK navigation systems offer automatic
steering for tractors and other self-propelled machines to accuracy of
2cm. Topcon also offers machine control of seeders and sprayers along
with advanced technology for the registration of activities and data
management. Topcon systems are designed to be distinctive in their
user-friendliness.
Another unique product offering is Topcon’s
CropSpec for measuring the photosynthesis activity in crops to determine
the degree of fertilization.
Wim Hengeveld, managing director of
MechaTrac, said, “Precision ag technology has become a constant part of
farming. In order to be able to grow with the needs of our progressive

supporting TPA products directly; bringing the most cutting edge,

The Mechan Group is, among other brands, an importer
of MechaTrac (Massey Ferguson and Challenger), De Vor (Fendt), Agritech
(Valtra), Vormec, Matermaco (Massey Ferguson), Belmaco and Matera
(Valtra). Mechan Group will organize the distribution of the Topcon
products via the existing dealer networks of their members. A product
specialist will be appointed as brand-independent advisor to support the
introduction of these products in the three-country region.
